Yoga for the 4th Trimester
Saturday June 14, 2025 10:00am - 11:00am EDT
In this 60 minute workshop, you'll be guided through breathwork and postnatal sequencing designed to recharge the postpartum body and mind.

The fourth trimester is just as important for a mother’s health as the first three trimesters, yet that is often when mothers have the least interaction with their health care team.

Only 40% of moms attend their postpartum follow-up visit. Why? It’s an overwhelming time and often gets pushed to the back burner.

A traditional checklist for a PP visit includes physical recovery (Have the tears healed? Are the C/S stitches healing? Warning signs for something serious, like an infection, Diastasis recti?), mental recovery, sexual health/family planning and diet/exercise.

The six-week checkup is a green light to slowly get back into fitness, not run a marathon. The abdominal fascia has only regained 51-59% of its original strength by six weeks, and between 75-94% at 6-7 months.

If breastfeeding, the hormone, Relaxin, is still in your body, making you more prone to tissue injury. Combine that with urinary incontinence, exhaustion and care for the baby.

Need to bring your baby to class? No worries! We can work through mom and me sequences as well.

Yoga for Fertility
Saturday June 14, 2025 2:00pm - 3:30pm EDT
Fertility Yoga is the groundbreaking work that explores the different yoga  techniques that balance our hormones and release our stress. By releasing our stress our bodies are better able to function with our reproductive needs. Yoga helps with fertility in a number of ways: through stress reduction, encouraging hormonal balance, helping people with their mental health, and helping with pain relief. Yoga is also known to help boost endorphins. The same way that women get balancing of the hormones, a man can also see improvement of sperm production practicing yoga. There have been studies that show that doing fertility yoga during Ivf or art helps increase the chances of getting pregnant as well. Yoga is also helpful for relaxing the muscles of the hips and pelvis to promote a healthy pregnancy. When teaching each fertility yoga class the class ends with a discussion and meditation involving balancing the chakras associated with fertility. This way every pathway is focused on in this fertility yoga class.
