Loosening the Knots: Freeing Space for Binding
Sunday June 15, 2025 10:00am - 11:30am EDT
Bindings are challenging. These poses give us an awareness of our physical body and its limitations and also shed light on the internal struggle of the higher yoga quest.
Physically, binding poses can bring ease and opening if the body is supple. And can feel locked away for those with tighter, stiffer bodies.
Similarly with the inner quest, for some, there is a suppleness and ease to move into the more subtle states. While for others  the deeper layers of this embodiment can feel tied up tight.
Open up without forcing the way in. Learn to release without thrashing against the knots of this form. Balance effort and allowing. Find freedom while still being bound to the limitations of this body and loosen the knots that bind you.

✴️ The Grounding Magic of Savasana Assists: Guiding Students to Rest and Recovery
Sunday June 15, 2025 12:00pm - 1:30pm EDT
This workshop is designed for yoga teachers and fitness professionals who work with individuals in group-class or one-on-one settings.
After a vigorous yoga or movement practice that productively stresses the body, it’s essential to allow time for rest and recovery. In yoga, this rest period is called savasana. Savasana involves lying down on your back, training the nervous system to settle and activate the parasympathetic (“rest and digest”) response after physical exertion. This practice helps the body respond well to stress, enabling a healthy transition back to balance. Stress is a natural part of life, but the key to a resilient nervous system lies in quickly returning to a state of calm after short periods of stress.
As movement facilitators, we can use compassionate and strategic hands-on assists to teach our students how to ground themselves and soothe their nervous systems more effectively. In this hands-on session, you’ll learn and practice the foundational skills needed to guide students into deeper states of relaxation. Our focus will be on techniques that enhance the flow of breath, promote physical relaxation, and ground the entire system.
We will also cover essential topics such as obtaining student consent, cultivating a mindful approach, and using touch with kindness and compassion to support the health and wellness of your students. Each of us has the capacity to heal; this workshop will help you fine-tune your senses and harness the power of a healing touch.

✴️ Chair Yoga for All Ages…Really!
Sunday June 15, 2025 2:00pm - 3:30pm EDT
Chairs will be provided. Bring your mat!

Join Stephan and Ingrid in their wildly popular Chair Yoga class for all ages that is fun, challenging, invigorating, and inspiring (and perspiring!). We start in the chair for simple joint-opening movements, and then get up and create yoga flows using the chair as a prop that will surprise you and make you wonder why you haven’t done this before. Chair Yoga is great for people who may have stiff muscles, may have an injury, may not enjoy getting down to and up from the floor frequently (or at all), or who really enjoy learning a new way of practicing (and teaching) yoga. Some poses are actually deeper using a chair! It is a wonderful way to personalize your practice for your shifting daily needs. And, blissfully, you’ll experience a healing Savasana with your legs up on the chair, with Ingrid singing to you. : )

✴️ Dynamic Harmony
Sunday June 15, 2025 2:00pm - 3:30pm EDT
Imagine stepping into a space where yoga is more than just a series of poses—it's a vibrant journey of self-discovery. I’m Vince, and while I might not be the most flexible yogi out there, I flow with a passion that drives me forward, and I want to share that energy with you. Welcome to "Dynamic Harmony."

This class is more than just moving through asanas; it's about reconnecting with your body in a way that honors its strength, its limits, and its potential. We’ll dive deep into dynamic vinyasas designed not only to challenge your practice but to invigorate your spirit. Each transition is an opportunity, a step toward mastering your practice with greater fluidity and stabilization.

But here's the twist: it’s not just about perfecting each pose. It’s about listening—really listening—to your body, embracing each breath, each movement, and making them uniquely yours. We'll explore tips and techniques that bring a new level of ease and confidence to your flow, transforming your practice into a dance of strength and grace.

Picture a class where every transition is a delicate balance between effort and ease, and every pose becomes a celebration of your dedication. Whether you’re looking to refine your technique or just want to experience yoga from a fresh perspective, this session will open doors to transformation and growth.

Join me at the Berkshire Yoga Festival for an exciting adventure in movement and mindfulness. Together, we'll push past boundaries, discover new depths in our practice, and find true harmony between movement and stillness. I can't wait to guide you through this enriching experience.

80% asana, 20% lecture. Let's flow together.
