About me
Raquel is a distinguished instructor in yoga, acroyoga, slackline yoga, and handstands, celebrated for her dynamic teaching style and her ability to inspire others. Her journey into yoga began during her Master's studies in marine biology, where she turned to yoga to alleviate physical pain. This pursuit led her to India, where she earned her first yoga certification. Her development as a yoga instructor reflects her passion for personal growth and her commitment to helping others. After returning from India, Raquel began teaching yoga alongside her PhD studies. However, she soon realized that her true calling was in serving others through yoga. This realization prompted her to leave her academic path to fully dedicate herself to yoga.On this new path, Raquel engaged in extensive research, learning, and exploration. She deepened her expertise with a 500-hour Akhanda Yoga training and pursued further education in Ashtanga Yoga, children's yoga, prenatal yoga, and training as a Doula. Her skills also extend to the healing arts, including Pranic Healing and Reiki. In 2012, she shifted her focus to specialize in Slackline Yoga and AcroYoga, becoming a senior teacher with YogaSlackers. Originally from Puerto Rico, she now travels the world as a full-time nomad, integrating acroyoga, handstands, and slacklining into her mindfulness practices.Raquel reflects that the most challenging decisions in her life have ultimately shaped into her most rewarding ones. She holds a firm belief that the quest for one's true purpose and deep satisfaction is the cornerstone of genuine fulfillment. Her aspiration is to motivate everyone she encounters to actively chase their passions, with the hope of transforming lives. Through her classes, she seeks to unearth students' joy and meaning, believing that these are the essential elements that carve a fulfilling life journey.
